The Highway

Back to the highway…

The day’s walk was comfortable enough. No real pains or discomforts to be concerned about. My feet are feeling close to blistering and my shoulders are a bit raw around the collarbones.

I made it to a flee bag hotel in Oakland – there’s not many to chose from around here. The few that are in this area are very high end.

I’m feeling a little uneasy about the miles of neighborhood I must now get past. Everything is segmented into square blocks and that will add a lot of mileage if I’m not careful. I’m looking for a more direct route to Sacramento. It’s not only coyotes who are displeased about the encroachment of civilization.

Yesterday's laundry drying over the air-conditioner/heater held to the curtains by the safety pins mom slipped into my belongings.
